What is structured water?

Structured water is based on the concept that water exists in clusters. A molecule is a set of atoms that are very tightly bound. They also have less tight bonds to their neighbors called hydrogen bonds. A water molecule is made of 2 hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. They are bound together very strongly. A glass of water molecules is held together by weak bonds. You may have seen or considered seeing an acupuncturist in the past. I am not an acupuncturist but I have studied Chinese medicine to some depth.  Often we wonder where our emotions come from and how we can get more control over them.  Your emotions are a result of subtle energies within your body that can be observed by those around you quite powerfully.

In Chinese medicine, the kidney and bladder meridians are the channels where water energy in the body flows.  The kidney meridian is perhaps the most important meridian.  Meridians can be thought of as paths through which energy in the body flows.  This is a special kind of energy called chi and is not observable by the untrained eye.

I am certified by the International College of Applied Kinesiology and have trained with some of the most expert masters in applied kinesiology (AK).  In AK we consider the water energy to be very related to emotions.  The predominant emotion of these meridians is fear but any emotion is possible because fear and love are perhaps the most fundamental energies that exist on an emotional level.

When we think about water we may imagine a spring or glass of water.  Images of the ocean conjure up deep darkness of unknown and depths where any number of things could be lurking.  The profound nature of water is the unknown and this can be quite scary for some.  Accepting that there are many things hiding beneath the water is what allows people like surfers to paddle out into the waves and be fully focused on the task at hand – catching the wave.

I was in a gourmet grocery store the other day and they had something called “Bling Water” which is water with little jewels on the bottle aka bling. I didn’t know if the water was anything special but was curious so I did some research and I guess it tastes pretty good and Paris Hilton likes it. The bling was all I needed to put out the $40 for a liter bottle. The taste was okay except it seems like if the water was all that great they wouldn’t need the bling on it in the first place. Did I pay $40 for the bottle or for the water? Also, I am a little embarrassed now for spending that much on something that only lasts about 10 minutes. Also in the news, Ed Hardy has a structured water. It seems that water is becoming a Star!

Have you seen Emoto’s water crystals?  It seems possible to give water life and thereby transform it and the drinker on a very profound level.  It would have some oxygen in it because life cannot exist without oxygen. This can be achieved simply by pouring some water into a half-filled container, which would push oxygen into the water.  The pH would be slightly alkaline or neutral.  Acid rain is becoming a bigger issue around cities… In my opinion, light should emanate from the water itself as if it is glowing with life!

Sadly, most springs are so polluted we have to either filter the water or boil it to prevent disease.  Once filtered it has been affected by a mechanical/chemical process and has probably lost some vitality.  I think that positive emotions can return some of this vitality.  Still, there is an energetic component that borders on the spiritual that is not easy to duplicate…
